Idea of heaven is to be with someone you love. To be loved and to love indefinitely and with no strings attached. This is my idea of heaven. The ultimate pleasure is to be with the love of your life and to dedicate it to her. To see her in her anger, in her pleasure, in her child like things and also the childish things. To see her throw tantrums when you know there is no need for it. A perfect heaven is to be at peace with the heart and mind and it only happens when you are satiated and achieved what you wanted for. There are a few who achieve this heaven being on earth.

I have known my best friend for over 30 years; we have been there for each other through thick and thin. She is a delight, with a wonderful sense of humor and an enormous heart. However, there is one thing that I can’t stand about her; she belittles her daughter about being overweight. I have several children and I would do anything for them. I would lay down my life for them if I had to. It is very hard for me to hear a mother talk to her child in such a way. The child is not physically abused but I think that she is mentally abused. My friend will call her fat and question her about everything that she eats. I think she does this because she was overweight in her teens and she is afraid for her daughter. I wish I could talk to my friend about this but she is very sensitive to any kind of criticism and she would probably be very upset with me. I try to spent time with her daughter and give her compliments to make up for her mother’s unkind words. I know that I will have to work up the courage and confront my friend; I just don’t know how I will begin.

When I was in high school, there was a girl in my class who was a mess. She was overweight, had stringy lank hair, and severe acne. Many of my friends teased and picked on her. I never did, and I always tried to be nice to her. One day, she asked me to come to her house. I made the mistake of telling 2 of my friends and they told me that I shouldn’t go. At first I ignored what they said, but then I began to think about it. If I went to her house, would I get picked on like she did? In the end, I didn’t go and to make things even worse, I began to ignore that poor girl in school. I was the closest thing she had to a friend and I abandoned her. If I could go back and do it over again, I would befriend her, take her under my wing and help her try to fit in. It is something in my life that I will always regret doing.

If I had to choose 3 things to eat day in and day out for the rest of my life, I would choose pizza, jelly beans and watermelon. I would choose pizza because it can be made in so many different ways. I could choose different sauces and toppings for variety. I have a sweet tooth and I would have to be able to eat something sweet. I think jelly beans are a good choice because they come in so many different flavors and I love the taste of them. I could not live without watermelon; I love the taste and the feel of it. I love to sit in the hot sun, munching on my favorite melon with the sticky juice running down my sunburned skin.
