Winter Time Craze

The holidays in winter can be quite chaotic for anyone to endure.  It is hard to choose one specific holiday I like the most.  Between Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years, I would have to say that Christmas is my favorite holiday.  First, you have Halloween and Thanksgiving to get in the holiday spirit.  By the time Christmas comes around you are more than ready to spend quality time with your family.  Spending time with your family is what Christmas is all about.  I love giving and receiving gifts from the ones I love.  To see the smiles on the faces of the people around me is an excellent feeling.  But, the best part of all is to decorate the Christmas tree.  This is why I say Christmas is my favorite holiday.

Adventures of the Day

Today was an eventful day.  When I woke up this morning, I was feeling very productive.  Early this morning I had a shower and ate a bowl of cereal with toast on the side. I started my day by doing yard work.  Then, I had to take a trip to the grocery store to pick up a couple of ingredients for dinner tonight.  After going to the grocery store, I took my car to the auto shop to have an oil change.  Turns out, I needed a lot more done to my car then just an oil change.  I later visited with my sister to help her study for her college final exams.  As you can see, I have quite an eventful day so far.

My Half-Norwegian Cat

My cat is part Norwegian Forest Cat. At least, that’s what I think she is. When we got her as a kitten, the woman who gave her to us told her that she was Norwegian-something but Mom forgot what the exact term was. The woman seemed to have a Norwegian accent, however. Then I googled “Norwegian Cat” and found out about the Norwegian Forest Cat. The pictures of them, especially the gray tabbies, looked like her, and so that’s what I assumed she was. This assumption was nearly confirmed by my aunt, who said that she looked like a Norwegian Forest Cat. My cat is named Lali, which means “darling girl” in Indian. Right now, she is curled up in the chair, asleep, her fur sticking up, making me want to pet her.

Between Bluffs and River

admin
Categories: Uncategorized

My town is a pretty cool town. It’s a college town; I moved here to go to the University. There are two other major colleges. But there is so much more to it than that! There are many things to do; there is Riverfest and Oktoberfest and Applefest every other fest in between. There is an awesome downtown and a good community theatre and a low-price movie theater and a huge antique shop. But most of all the town is beautiful. The bluffs sit alongside the town looking over it like wise old grandparents. In the evening, the sun strikes the bluffs and sets their faces on fire. On the other side of the town is the river, on which the steamboats ride in the summer.
