Lively Oh So

A breeder friend of mine recently had puppies and is allowing me to take one home to raise as a show prospect. We’ve named her Dez and we cannot wait until she’s old enough to come home. In addition to showing her in conformation, we want to join a local agility team, because I think it’s a great way to burn her extra energy, as well as get myself off the couch. I can’t wait to learn how to train her to go through the tunnels and over the different jumps. I know that training them to go over the ramps can be especially hard, because the dog needs to touch its feet to a specific part of the car dog ramps before moving on to the next obstacle. It’s so exciting, I’ve been wanting a dog of my own for years. Hopefully Dez’s future will be successful. I can’t wait!

One night, we heard that a movie scene was being filmed a few blocks away, and went to investigate.  It was one of the Lethal Weapon movies, but the scene, at least from our view, involved nothing more than a car driving down the street.  It wasn’t terribly thrilling, but the prospects of meeting a movie star, while slim, were more engaging than the harsh realities that waited for us elsewhere.  And then, Danny Glover showed up.  Dano was both thrilled and embarrassed – there he was, a sixteen year old boy who looked like a thirteen year old girl, with tubes running from his nose and unable to get up off his electric scooter, and there Danny Glover was, a celebrity action star.  Normally I was not the most socially confident of girls at that age, but I could not let the opportunity pass.  I left the aghast Dano where he had to leave his scooter if it was going to have enough charge to make it back home, and approached Mr. Glover, to whom I explained the situation.

One can choose to prepare the dog food or go for the commercially available dog food that can be bought from the pet dog stores. When one goes for a commercial dog food, then the first thing that should be checked is to verify whether the food has been certified by Association of American Feed Control Officials (AAFCO). So it is always safer to go for a commercial dog food with AAFCO approval. One should also check that the commercial food doesn’t contain coloring agents, preservatives and Unknown fat which may be harmful to the dog. A quality pet food is Natural Balance pet food. While preparing dog food locally, one can consider including fresh meat, vegetables and fruits which are high in vitamins and proteins. One can also add fish oil to the regular food as the fish oil is rich in omega-3 which helps to maintain the dog’s nervous and immune system.

Most people owe dogs as pets. Dogs are not only friendly to human beings but they are very loyal also. So it is very necessary to make it comfortable in the house. Dogs need crates of their own.
