Friendship means a lot to me. I think most people “say” that but don’t really mean it. All of these people who have two hundred MySpace friends or know half of their college on Facebook, I have to wonder, do they really have any friends, or do they just have two hundred people that they know? My circle of friends is small – very small – I can count the people I consider friends on both hands, but they are people I fully trust, and whom fully trust me. I think that has kind of gone to the wayside in today’s society. Nobody places value on the quality of friendship anymore, only on the quantity of it. Saying you have 1,300 friends is not something I think is worth bragging about – how can anyone possibly have deep and meaningful relationships with 1,300 people?

I remember just letting my imagination run wild. There were so many lazy afternoons where I would just let my mind wander and take me wherever it wanted to. I’d pretend I was flying through the sky like a bird or airplane. My friends and I would run down to this rock quarry and climb the stone hills (probably dangerous but, it was fun!). We’d play around and when winter came we’d have giant snowball fights. I remember going to school and thinking that our 80-something 3rd grade teacher was the very picture of a witch. Wart on her nose and everything. She tried to get me to write using my right hand, even though I was left handed. Even the weird memories or unpleasant ones like that can still bring nostalgia though.

I like playing video games. I’m actually just about to buy a Nintendo Wii but right now all I have is the Sony Playstation 2. I was playing Final Fantasy XII on it last night, a lot of fun for me, as its one of my favorite games of all time. I like to write (or type as I seem to be doing right now) and read too. I’ve dabbled in artistry once in a great while, though I don’t think I’ve ever really drawn anything worth looking at. My pictures are usually just pencil sketches, sometimes I think them in, but I’ve never shown them off or anything. I like listening to music (who doesn’t?). I did participate in National Novel Writing Month though! I finished my novel by the 28th.

Last night I had a Tombstone cheese pizza for dinner. I’m not really a big fan of the Tombstone pizzas, or any frozen pizzas in general, really, but they’re cheap at least. They don’t taste nearly as good as the kind of pizza you get from a restaurant and they are usually very flat (though I guess there are rising crust ones too). After that I had the last of a quart of Strawberry Cream ice cream I had sitting in the freezer. It was much better than the pizza! I guess it’s true that all of the things that are bad for you taste good and all of the things that are good for you taste bad.
