The greatest joy in my life is also my greatest responsibility- my children. They are constantly amazing me and touching my heart in ways I never dreamed possible. I find it incredible that they are so different even though they are raised in the same environment. My oldest son is my laid-back child. Nothing really bothers him. He can entertain himself with a pair of sticks if need be. He is also my sensitive child and wears his heart on his sleeve. My middle son is my daredevil. He is so full of energy and is on full-speed until he crashed into sleep. He likes attention and to be honest, he needs it! If I look away fro a moment he is on top of the table! My baby girl is just developing her personality, and I am excited to see what happens!

Today, as most every work day, I am wearing medical scrubs. The good thing about wearing uniforms or scrubs is that you don’t have to plan what you are going to wear each day. All I have to do is grab one and go. I do like to pick out colorful scrubs. My favorite scrub top is covered with butterflies. Because I occasionally go to the pediatric floor, I also wear bright scrubs with carton characters, like Sponge Bob. Most of my tops have been embroidered with my name and job position. There are some days that I teach a training course all day. On those days I get to dress up in professional outfits.

My favorite show of all time is Survivor. I love reality TV, but Survivor is the king! The challenges are always unique and adventurous. I like to watch the interaction between the contestants- the lies, the fighting, and the alliances. Watching Survivor magnifies the best and worst of our society. I usually pick a favorite on the first show and root for him and her for the rest of the season. I don’t want to brag, but I usually pick someone that at least makes it to the final five. I would love someday to be a contestant on Survivor. I have watched enough episodes (practically all of them) to know which strategies work. The main thing to know if you want to win Survivor, trust no one!

My daily routine is jam packed from the time I wake-up until I fall asleep. I get up early in the morning to feed the baby and get the other children ready for school. Then it’s out the door to daycare and school. My day does not slow down once I get to work. I work at a local hospital and my day is full. With the business of tasks and paperwork, I still try to make time to visit with the patients and try to cheer them up as much as possible. Sometimes all it takes is a friendly smile and an open ear. Once I clock-out it is a race back to daycare and school to pick-up the children. At home we rush to eat and get ready for what’s next, whether it’s church, Boy Scouts, or another activity.
